Gratuitous trad post.

Maeve Donnelly rocks my world. Some of you already know that, but it's worth saying again and again. And the sound of her fiddle cuts through the subway noise during rush hour on the F train. Good woman yourself, Maeve!

Maeve Donnelly. That's poetry, man.

(Unlike her webpage, though, which is one of them what cannot be displayed. Alas.)

But you're not just sayin' that because you got to play in that session with her in East Durham, are you?

Yeah, it's poetry for sure, man.

Ok, I've got the links thing figured out now--I just have to go back and change them....

And no, I'm not just saying that, though of course that was one of those unforgettable sessions...especially because I have the recording, thanks to you! No, Maeve is just awesome because she IS--but you know that :-)

Yes, she's cool indeed.

I remember Andrew Mac trying to needle her about her vegetarianism and she said rather fiercely that she'd rather eat people than animals. Rare occasion of Andrew being at a complete loss for a comeback.

What a class act! Maeve, that is, in this case--though as we know, Andrew has his moments.
